The window to the world... Our "living dream" continues.
Julie and I have immensely enjoyed our first 3.5 months on the road in our motorcoach we've named Coach Addy, driving 4400 miles discovering the greatness of this country. It's hard to put into words but I'll start with the most important observation for me, People are amazing and awesome everywhere we go. ....and boy did Julie and I need this reminder. Our careers, 40 years for each of us, with all the meetings, the issues, the controversies, the stresses, and the accomplishments can narrow and skew a persons vision greatly.... We begin to think our pressure packed work lives as a normal representative of our vast human relationships with others around our world. The greatness of being on the road and experiencing so many wonderful people and places is that it makes us realize how narrow a slice of the American pie, our work lives really represent. People in this country are amazing and kind. It's time to park and pause Coach Addy's adventure for a month as our adventures as a couple continues on the worlds oceans and in Europe. We will be traveling to Europe at 17 nautical miles per hour on a grand ship, stopping in several locations before arriving in Paris for a long week on land. Yes there will be lots of wine!
We will return to Coach Addy in late May and continue our epic land adventure on the Great Open Road beginning Leg two, driving as far north as Banff and Jasper Canada while visiting several of our National Parks as well as friends and family in several states. So, Baker Pedee and the Great Open Road Bakery will be closed for a month or so, to be continued in June. We will however occasionally share the amazing people, places and food that we encounter on our Transatlantic and Mediterranean adventure on this blog.
Time to set sail on another amazing adventure as a couple. We feel blessed & thankful to be able to do so. Cheers Peder
